The ENTJPN 61 is part of THE ARCHIVE SERIES, Enterprise Japan’s project dedicated to the contemporary reinterpretation of archival footwear. A research-driven exercise in which proportions, materials, and visual codes are reimagined through the brand’s DNA.
Inspired by 1960s running shoes, the silhouette is slim and lightweight, with essential volumes that recall classic sportswear aesthetics. The clean, functional design expresses a sporting attitude, conceived to endure over time and support everyday movement.
The stone brown suede upper enhances the minimal construction and highlights the dynamic lines of the profile, while the EJ Rocket logo becomes lighter, transforming into an essential sign, almost like a Japanese kanji: a graphic stroke that unites movement, identity, and culture in a single form. The heritage label on the tongue evoke the imagery of 1960s university competitions.
The slim sole, characterized by a deliberately worn effect, introduces time as a design value—an aesthetic mark that gives the sneaker identity and authenticity.
ENTJPN 61 pays tribute to the spirit of the 1961 Osaka Universiade, a symbol of discipline, youthful energy, and training culture. An essential model that transforms sporting heritage into a contemporary, clean, and timeless form.
